That is not a coincidence. For an old dog, the hard part of grooming was never the grooming. It was the car ride, the strange floor, and the half day in a kennel waiting for a turn. Take those three away and a lot of dogs who "cannot be groomed anymore" turn out to be fine. Our vans work the wide driveways off Walnut Hill, Royal Lane and Hillcrest weekly, and if you are out, latch-key service means the same groomer lets themselves in the same gate every visit.

No. Shaving a husky or golden ruins the coat’s insulation. We do a full de-shed instead, which drops the real heat load without wrecking the coat.
